Hello Brooklyn Avenue School Families. My name is Mr. Ricardo Tapanes and I am the proud principal of Brooklyn Avenue School. I am a graduate of LAUSD. I graduated from Jordan High School in Los Angeles and continued my education at Occidental College, where I received my college degree.
I have served as a school administrator for twelve years and as principal the previous 7 years at Humphreys Avenue Elementary School. I am happy to be here to work with our school community to make certain that students are provided the best academic environment to prepare them for college and beyond.
